About Us

A Jewish Initiative for Justice & Peace

We’re a small but mighty NH nonprofit dedicated to stopping Israel kill massive number of civilians in Palestine and in neighboring countries.

What We Support

  • A lasting and sustainable peace in Israel/Palestine, achieved through an equitably negotiated, just agreement, including Palestinian representation

  • Halting U.S. military aid to Israel used to oppress Palestinians

  • Increasing humanitarian and reconstruction aid in Gaza through UNRWA and other international agencies

  • An immediate freeze on all settlement development and a stop to settler violence in the West Bank while holding perpetrators accountable

  • Ending the Israeli occupation of Gaza and the West Bank

  • Ending violence against all civilians, both Israeli and Palestinian

In Support of These Goals, We:

  • Educate community members through films, articles, speakers, and more

  • Engage in legislative advocacy

  • Write letters to the editor, opinion pieces, and place ads in newspapers

  • Collaborate with other like-minded organizations

  • Raise funds in support of the above activities

Our Story

More About Not In My Name New Hampshire

Not In My Name identifies itself as Jewish because it wants to give voice to diverse Jews and allies to oppose the Israeli government's oppressive policies in the Middle East. Those policies include its occupation of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, indiscriminate bombings, bulldozing of houses, Palestinian displacement through settler violence in order to accommodate increased expansion on the West Bank, the treatment of Palestinians as second class citizens, and the holding of Palestinians without charges in indefinite detention under cruel and inhuman conditions that violate international law.

While we condemn the violence against civilians committed by Hamas on October 7 that killed 1200 people, we even more strongly condemn the killing of at least 70,000 people, including almost 25,000 children, by the Israeli military, and many more because of destruction of infrastructure and blocking of humanitarian aid.

Never Again for Everyone

We believe that protesting these policies as a Jewish organization is important because we experienced such policies throughout our history, especially during the Holocaust, and are deeply anguished that a country ostensibly speaking for Jews have established a decades old policy of apartheid and perpetuates war crimes and ethnic cleansing. That is why we called ourselves Not In My Name.

We also believe that a Jewish organization can be very effective in both the broader peace movement and the pro-Palestinian solidarity movement, because it is nonsensical to call Jews antisemitic for criticizing the Israeli government.

Key Programs

The showing of educational films, which are often well attended. Our screening of No Other Land after it won an Oscar drew 400 people over two nights.

NIMN has brought prominent Jewish speakers who oppose Israel policies like Peter Beinart. In September, we plan on hosting Omer Bartov, an Israeli Holocaust scholar who critiques Israeli policies.

We have published numerous ads in local newspapers against Israel policies listing names of Jewish Supporters, including some Rabbis.
